Research and new phase starting

During this week I have been chosen to participate in a Danish research project at the university of Aalborg. The research is going to focus on how hydration and energy intake affects your performance. They will do that be testing and monitoring the 100 research subjects participating, both during the training as well as during CPH Marathon. They will monitor amount of training, level of fitness, intake of water/energy as well as a blood sample.  Looking forward to see the results of the study and I am glad I am able to help with (hopefully) shedding some light on this topic!

So it is time for a new training phase to start, it's called "Going Further" on My Asics, and essentialy it is about running faster for longer (simple!)
This Thursday I was out on a nice 14k run with a pace of 5 min per km, which I must admit was a bit tough for some of my leg muscels, so it makes me wonder if I may be pushing progress to hard as that is the pace I would have to keep to make the 3:30 time at Berlin Marathon... Phew..
The coming weekends will focus on some longer runs that combine fast paced sections of about 9 km followed by 14 km of comfortable running, which will build endurance.
